Meet Slate: This goofy and happy-go-lucky guy is a 4-year-old Blue/lacy/Chinese Sharpei mix who is looking for an active home. He is great with other dogs, is fully house trained and crate trained and is a fast learner. He rides well in the car, walks great on leash and could be an excellent running partner as well as a sofa buddy for Sunday afternoon football on TV watching. He is fully grown at about 60 lbs, sits well for treats and loves attention and affection, he doesn't know what a stranger is and loves everyone he meets. 

He is looking for an active home with or without another dog of similar size and energy in it, or someone who is home a bit/works from home - while he is crate trained, he is very, very smart as he will notice if you forget to close one of the two latches on the crate and let himself out. If both latches are closed, he will chill and lay down to nap. Same might apply to yard gates, so a securely fenced in yard is advised.
