Skye: Adopted! Pit Bull Terrier Mix Kansas City, KS

9/3/2015: Skye is a super cute Pit Bull mix with adorable markings. She’s mostly white, with tan spots on her rear end and tail. Skye is a wonderful pup! She is 8 months old and she’s very sweet, playful and happy-go-lucky. She likes other dogs and plays nicely in doggie play groups. She likes to play, but she also calms down nicely for a pup her age and she’s good about being kenneled and is quiet in her kennel. Skye is very good-natured and friendly and loves everybody.

Skye weighs about 55 lbs currently and still has some growing to do. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. She was sick with parvo virus when she came to us. We hospitalized her and treated her, and now she is fully recovered and ready for her new home!

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
