Meet Skittles, a 6-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of potential. Skittles was surrendered along with the 17 other dogs when their previous owner could no longer provide proper care. Having lived most of her life outside and been a mom several times, she’s a bit shy at first, but her sweet nature shines through once she gets to know you.

Though Skittles is still building her confidence, she’s eager to experience the comfort and love of being a spoiled indoor dog. With some time and patience, she will blossom into the loyal and affectionate companion she’s meant to be. A canine companion in her new home will be especially helpful as she continues to learn how to navigate the world of indoor living and build trust with her new family.

Skittles is a tidy girl who makes a real effort to keep her kennel clean, which is a great sign that housebreaking with a consistent routine should go smoothly. She’s been through quite a bit already, including undergoing heartworm treatment and being treated for Lyme disease, but with the right care and support, she’ll soon be on the path to a healthier, happier life.

Skittles may take a little longer to warm up to new situations and people, but once she does, she will be the most loving and devoted companion. She just needs someone who can be patient and help her feel safe as she transitions to this new chapter.

Skittles will be spayed and Microchipped. She has beenHeartworm tested. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. She has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention.
