Listed are our steps to adoption:
1- fill out application https://form.jotform.com/fpuandsave/canine
2- application is submitted to adoption board for approval
3- If application is approved we will set up a meet and greet
4- If meet and greet goes well and all parties wish to continue with adoption we will do a home visit
5- sign papers and adoption fee

o My story- Skit was found roaming a nearby farm in the midst of a storm. It took several hours and lots of patience to finally get our hands on Skit and bring him into rescue. Skit was covered in large ticks, filthy, and hungry. It is clear that he had been out for some time. We don’t know a lot about Skit’s past but we can bet he did not have a lot of positive experiences with people. Over time Skit has really come to enjoy the company of the people he knows around him, but he still is not comfortable with physical touch from people. He has never once been aggressive and will allow you to touch him if you must, but he is working on overcoming this hurtle. Skit loves to spend time with other dogs and is the most comfortable when he has a companion there to play with and to let him know that everything is okay. He currently shares his space with another one of our rescues, Booker, and this has helped him tremendously to come out of his shell. We love seeing the new goofy side to Skit, even if he wont let us snuggle him like we want to!
