Oslo-WATCH MY VIDEO!!! Maltese & Poodle Mix Irvine, CA

Hello- my name is Oslo. I am a 16 month old Maltese Poodle boy. I weigh in at about 15 pounds. I measure about 15 inches from my paw to my shoulder and 23 inches from the tip of my nose to the base of my tail. I am a young smart pup with lots of energy.

I was found as a stray in Tustin. My previous owners did not take very good care of me. I was infested with fleas and my coat was dirty, heavily matted. Somehow I ended up at this big scary place called "The Shelter", I was really scared when I first got there. No one could even touch me. I gradually calmed down and was there for several days until a rescue lady saw my potential and took me home. She gave me a bath, cut my hair and saw how handsome I am!! My Mom named me Oslo because she says I remind her of the white snow and glaciers in Norway.

I am one smart cookie; very eager to learn and food motivated. I always aim to please. I mastered all the basic commands like sit, down, stay in no time. I can even shake hands and do rollovers. My Mom has to constantly come up with new things for me to learn.

I am potty trained to go outside and have never had an accident inside the house. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate all night. I am a vocal kind of guy; My Mom says I just have lots to say. With me around you will not need a home alarm. I enjoy going for walks with my Mom and the pack every day. I love all human beings-males, females. I do like little ones as long as they as they have a gentle touch. I tend to get a bit over exuberant at play or while chasing little ones. It is best that I go to home with children older than 12 years old.

I co-exist in my foster a home with other dogs and even share a crate with another pup. I am reactive when it comes to other dogs that I am not familiar with. You see- I was attacked by another dog when I was really young. The only thing I could do to protect myself was to charge at the aggressor. Since then, I am weary of other dogs and automatically go into a defensive mode during initial meeting. Once I know there is no threat, I do okay.

I am a Maltese and do not shed. I am what they call a hypoallergenic dog. I have had all my shots, am spayed and am even micro-chipped. I am all set and ready to find my own family. So-what are you waiting for? Come meet me-you will not be disappointed. I am looking for someone with a firm hand-who will have the time to watch over me and I will do likewise. I have lots of love to give and will be your loyal companion for years to come. I am one active guy with lots of energy. I love to run. I will make a perfect running/hiking companion.
