Skeeter Yorkshire Terrier Kennewick, WA

Born approx. September 2017, Skeeter is a male Yorkie mix weighing in at about 4.5 lbs! This sweet little guy bonds deeply with his person and seems much more people oriented than other dog oriented, but he gets along just fine with other dogs. Skeeter is not a barker but he will whine when he wants his person's attention. Skeeter would do best in a home where his person or family is home a lot, as we discovered he has a wee bit of separation anxiety when his people leave him for more than a couple of hours. We are certain he'll adjust to his new schedule, we just don't think he'd do good in a home where his people are gone for 7+ hours a day. He is potty trained, learned the doggie door in his foster home in no time! He prefers being on the bed with his person or people to the crate but will adjust if there's another pup in there with him. Skeeter will require a very securely fenced yard as he did dig out and escape in one of his foster homes while his foster family was at work. His forever family will need to commit to a lifetime of regular grooming. Could you be the right home for Mr. Skeeter?


Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.
