Hello, potential forever family! My name is Sandy, and I’m a 14-month-old pup with the longest legs and snout you’ve ever seen. I came from the Lone Star State to the land of 10,000 lakes in early July, and let me tell you, my journey has been quite the adventure! Back in Texas, I was living in a field with my brother, and life started out pretty rough. I arrived in Minnesota with lots of scabs and sore spots from bug bites, and my ears were super sore. I’ve grown so confident already since I entered rescue, and I continue to work towards being the bravest girl!

My delicate skin is healing, and now I have the softest fur around. Life is really looking good! My Texas name was Skah, but now I’m rocking the name Sandy. My foster parents call me “SAAAAANDRAAAAAA” sometimes which makes me do a happy little tip tap dance - I do know my name and respond to it quite well. I’m a sweet, shy, and spunky girl, and oh boy, am I affectionate! I love giving kisses and gentle corn cob nibbles to my foster parents and my kitty siblings. I’m very social and curious, always excited to see my foster family and foster fur siblings. I have two kitty siblings I adore and four pittie brothers. I wag my tail and smile when I see them, and I try to join in on zooms and playtime. My puppy brothers are pretty big compared to me so I’m hesitant to join at times, but I have been receiving first place in my kitty zoom races and wrestling matches.

I’m a long girl with a big heart. I have done very well with the children I have met and I liked them a lot! I’m still building my confidence, so I need a family who can help me feel safe and loved. Snuggles are my absolute favorite, and I love my kennel—it’s my safe haven. I’m spunky and I love exploring. I also adore bully spirals and savor my treats to make them last. I’m very food motivated.
