Sissy Mae Boxer & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Highland, MD

Meet Sissy Mae! She is about 35-40lbs of pure playfulness and love! She was found as a stray in SC, we think she is about 6 years old. She loves to chew on nylabones, and toss her toys around in her crate at the shelter. She would enjoy a family that can take her for long walks and cuddles with her on the couch! She interacts with dogs ok on a leash and in playgroups but didn't seem to love living with a dog in foster care (she played rough and was bossy). She does NOT get along with cats. She is learning basic commands quickly. She also is working on potty training. When Sissy Mae gets excited she gets wobbly and walks/runs with a very unique gate, she has already been examined and cleared by a vet who did not recommend any additional care! She does have difficulty with too many steps so an apartment on a higher level would not be suitable. Please apply to meet this sweet girl!
