Are you looking for a little lap dog? Sissy is your girl!

Sissy is a 13 year old Chihuahua who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after her owner passed away. As she came into her foster home she was a bit shy and just wanted to curl up on anyone’s lap for comfort. Since then she has won the hearts over many!

She is such a sweet girl who only wants you to love her and let her snuggle on your lap. In return she will shower you with kisses. She likes to take short walks and loves to go on car rides together but prefers to sit nicely on your lap. She loves to be your shadow as you go about the house and even in the yard. You see, Sissy was a lucky girl who was not only loved by her previous owner as well as her foster family but she has always had a person at home.

She doesn’t mind you being gone for a few hours but she does have some separation anxiety because she loves being with people. At night, not only does she insist on sleeping with you, but will bury herself under your covers and snore away. Sissy does well with other dogs her size as long as they are calm and not in her face. The same said about cats. She of course wouldn’t mind being the only dog either so she doesn’t have to share your attention. Sissy loves the attention from everyone but would do best in a quieter home. If there are kids in the home, they must be 15 or older.

Being that she is a senior, she has some lumps that are just fatty tissue that older dogs usually get. She had a full senior physical at the vet and as she is in good health overall, there are a few things that need to be watched. The vets suspect she has the starts of cataracts in her right eye. As of now she doesn’t seem to have any issues with it. She also has a weakened trachea. With this, we just don’t want to do anything to cause her to cough a lot. For example, don’t spray fragrance in the air if she is in the same room, don’t use the powders on your carpets before you vacuum and don’t take her for a walk where the dirt and dust can affect her nasal passage. And if you take her for a walk she will need to be in a harness rather than the leash attached to her collar. A smoke free home is a must for. She also recently had her dental done so her teeth are nice and clean!

Sissy is a special girl who deserves to live out her golden years in a home where she is pampered and loves to the fullest!
