This stunning honey colored 3 year old Bloodhound was spotted running loose on the streets of Somerset, KY. A concerted effort by rescuers managed to catch her during a horrific heat wave. She was exhausted and sporting a terrible wound on her side.
The wound has now healed and Sissy is ready for her forever home. She is current on shots; spayed and micro chipped.
Sissy while underweight when rescued now weighs nearly 90 pounds and is strong as an ox. She will need a very secure fenced yard and someone willing to exercise her regularly. Someone who is a runner or hiker would be perfect.
She’s been in foster home with other dogs without issue. One of the homes dogs does not appreciate her efforts to play and gets snarly with her; but she is not aggressive.
She does like lots of attention doted on her and wants to be with her humans. Her compatibility hasn’t really been tested with cats; but she might want to chase so that is a caution.

Sissy is fostered in Pulanski Kentucky. With the help of volunteers, transportation to Sissy's forever home can possibly be arranged.
