Meet Sir Windsor
Good things come to those who wait! This could definitely be Sir Windsor's motto.
Sir Windsor is approximately 6 years old and weighs 17 pounds. He is housebroken and will leave your slippers alone, no chewing here! He will bark if he sees dogs at the window, but otherwise is a quiet little guy. Sir Windsor is still learning that walks can be fun and is making steady progress on leash. He isn't a fan of the harness - probably because of his previous life - but he's adjusting.
Sir Windsor's perfect family is patient - very patient - and understands that their interactions will be at his speed. Humans let him down in the past, and he will need time to trust again - because of that, a home without kids would be safer for him. This gentleman would also prefer being the only furry love of your life.
Sir Windsor is very receptive to positive reinforcement training and his foster reports that he is a fast learner.
If you are ready to adopt Sir Windsor and showing him what patience, love and trust look like, apply today!

Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Come to the show to find out if this dog is the right fit for you — it's helpful to bring all family members and current dogs.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
