SIR FRANCIS DUKE (Neutered!) Airedale Terrier Mix Crossville, TN

SIR FRANCIS DUKE is a friendly and super, super sweet dog, but was a little scared when he first arrived at the shelter. So, permission to post him was held off for a few days after his hold was up. It gave him time to settle in and find out how lucky he was to land safely at the shelter and for staff to vaccinate him. As it turns out, he is very funny and staff adores him. He can leap the counter and run like the wind! So, staff has indicated that he must have a yard with a very tall fence. Because of his super high energy level, he will need someone who can make sure his need to runoff some of that energy can be easily met. He will not be good with small children, as he likely would inadvertently knock them down. He is estimated at 2 to 3 years of age and weighed 70 pounds at Intake. He is absolutely gorgeous and smiles like he is happy to see you! Because he is already neutered, he will be able to go home the same day that he is adopted. If you are a serious adopter, please CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the appointment. Hopefully, you also consider taking a dog crate with you to contain SIR FRANCIS for the trip home. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted. Safety first!
