Meet Simon Mr. Steal your girl

Just like the grade school playground game, Simon Says love him, snuggle him, play with him, spoil him, and lastly adopt him. According to the ruleswe have to do what Simon says. So if youre readying this, you better not break the rules! Only kidding but seriously though, Simon is utterly the best and Im going to tell you why! For starters, look at that big ole meat head of his. I dont know about you but I have a soft spot for the meatheads and he is in the top 5 of my favorites. Second, he is a total lover boy! He has no problem making himself feel right at home and claiming your lap as a good napping stop. Last but definitely not the least, he is your future best friend! To the point to where people will start to associate you with your dog and every conversation you have youre to have people constantly asking you how Simon is.

Watch his video and youll be smitten by this lover boy:

Simon is a Pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 67 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee the breed or age.

Dont tell Simon I told you this but he let me out make up on him and he felt like a pampered prince and then he insisted that he lay on my lap and smother me with kisses. Hes very much a you do I do type of dog. Simon likes to be apart of whatever it is youre doing, even if its not the most exciting like doing house chores, answering emails, or simply just relaxing and watching TV. Simon is just happy to there and included. Dont be surprised if your significant other loves him more than they love you. He has that effect on people hence why his name is Mr. Steal your girl. He has this charm about him that you simply cant resist.

We can see him being that type of dog you can take anywhere with you because of how relaxed and welcoming he is with everyone he meets. He also rides great in a car and will rest his head on your console or divider or will look out the window watching the world go past him. So if youre someone that likes to go to dog friendly places to meet up with friends like youre local brewery, coffee shop, or patio restaurant Simone will be a great partner in crime to have with you. Simon loves to be outside and he would love to be adopted out to a family that has a big backyard where he can stretch his legs, enjoy the fresh air, and play fetch with you.

Simon went for a sibling doggy day out with his sister recently, and he was living his best life! They were AWESOME- riding in the car, walking on leashes, all around the park and in Gimme a Bark! Friendly with everyone they saw met, take treats gently, super easy to correct when they saw all of the super cute toy resembling squirrels! Obviously Simon was doing his thing, and giving all of the new ladies he met the kisses and looks.

Simon is very dog friendly and loves other dogs! He loves to play chase, engage in those rumble and tumble wrestling matches, and has the time of his life. If you have a dog whose play-style could be described as rough and rowdy, Simon would love to be their new bestie. He is good with other dogs but his play style isnt for the dainty, an energetic and physical match would be ideal. Simon isn't all play all the time either, he knows when it's time to take a play break and also appreciates hanging out in the yard with his doggy friends enjoying the fresh air. If you don't have other dogs, that's totally fine! Simon is not the type of guy that needs another dog to help him feel comfortable or to open up. He's a happy confident fella all on his own and I'm sure he won't make a fuss if he is the center of your world.

Simon is very smart is and he is treat motivated! He already knows how to sit and will do anything for a treat! He walks great on a leash and if he does pull is it minimal and very easy to give a correction too. All you really have to do is just give him little pressure on the leash and he's walking like a gentleman again. In a home environment if he's doing something you don't want him doing, all you have to is say his name and he'll come trotting over to you. He is very trainable and any additional/future training you are interested in doing with him will be a breeze and joy for you both. Simon also has amazing house manners and didnt once have an accident or even hint at the potential of him having an accident in the house.

We have not seen Simon around kids just yet and we can absolutely test that for you with any age group starting as young as 1 year old to 14 years old. Just based off what we already know about him, we do believe that he would make a great family dog around kids ages 6+. We are willing to test Simon with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescues hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.

It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
