Simon Mixed Breed Lakeland, FL

Simon was a last min save out of OCAS and had a compound fracture to his leg where he was hit by a car. He also had metal fragments showing in his stomach and hips. He has had some reconstructive surgery and is looking and feeling much better!!!! His transformation is nothing short of a miracle!!!!
Per his Foster Family: "He is gaining weight and he is full of energy. He is a young male guesstimated to be 1 or 2 yrs old. When you are in the shower he will steal your sleepers,towels,clothes, lol but no worries because you will find everything in his bed, lol. He is super smart .He learned how to use the doggie door in one minute. He listens very well . He seems ok with other dogs through the fence (I don't have a way to test him at the house but if you need me to I can bring him to the facility) .He is ok with cats (we have two left behind from neighbors and one that just showed up) .He doesn't bother them .Our cats go in and out of the house through the doggie door. Simon doesn't have a prey drive, but if he sees the cats running outside he wants to play with them,the cats of course are not happy with that. We went to petco and he did great. He was afraid of cars at the beginning, but he is getting used to it now. He goes for two walks a day and he loves to ride in the car. He is timid with strangers,so it takes a minute to warm up."
