Simmons German Shepherd Dog Mix Colorado Springs, CO

Simmons is a handsome and happy German Shepherd mix! He is around 1-2 years old and will bring you SO much joy. Simmons is incredibly intelligent and very motivated by toys. He is always eager to learn and is very adventurous! He loves going on walks, car rides, and getting to explore the world. Simmons is active and energetic. His favorite games are fetch and tug or war. He’s great at both! He is extremely attentive to his people and is happy to be around them. Simmons is intuitive and will look up at you with his big brown eyes asking “What can I do to make you happy?” Simmons is maybe the most loyal dog we have ever met and bonds to his person so deeply. He is your little shadow and loves just spending time with you, no matter what you are doing. He’s an amazing dog and we can’t wait for him to find a home of his own.

Simmons has been working on training since he came to our rescue in April of 2022. He has learned basic obedience commands like sit, down, stay, place, up, drop it, and "eat" to get him to bite/tug on a toy! He does well in his kennel and is potty trained. He frequently goes on off-leash adventures with his foster mom. Simmons is excitable and energetic but knows when it is time to be calm and is happy to lay at your feet. He will be the best dog you've ever had if you give him a chance.
