Meet Simba
Hi, my name is Simba. I was a heartworm positive doggy but after 3 months of medicine and love I am now well and ready to find my forever home!
I am almost 3 years old. I was adopted as a puppy and after 2 1/2 years my family decided they no longer had time for me. I was being crated 12 hours a day or being left outside for long period of times. So, it’s no surprise that I’m not a fan of the crate. However, my foster parents allow me to roam the house with the other dogs and I behave like a complete gentleman. I love all stuffed toys and have recently started to learn the rules of fetch. I will go get the ball, but I don’t always return it.
I love kids and get excited when meeting new people. I do jump up to greet them so I might not be the best dog for smaller kids, only because I may knock them over. I will also need a home with another playful dog. I may be 3 years old but I have the energy of a puppy and will need a buddy. I also like to “talk tough” while I play and I will need a buddy that understands I’m not being mean, I’m just sometimes vocal. My foster mom says I sometimes have too much energy for the little dogs in my house but hold my own with the big dogs. I currently live with 6 other dogs ranging in sizes of 5lbs -70lbs.
I am house trained with a doggy door so I may need a little time getting used to not being able to go outside whenever I need to go. My foster family does have cats and I’m pretty interested in them but have never been aggressive.
If interested in adopting Simba, please fill out an application at FYDRadopt.com. His adoption fee is $200. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.
