Simba Akita Toms River, NJ

One of the saddest things we see in rescue is an older dog dumped because he/she is no longer wanted. This is what happened to Simba, after 8 years of love and loyalty he was no longer wanted. Yes, just like that. He found himself in a crowded Philadelphia shelter where space is a grave concern. Samba is a big, sweet, loving boy who loves to lean into with his entire body to be pet and loved on. How anyone could do this to him is beyond our understanding. We are looking to put him in a home that would treasure this boy, he so deserves to spend his time being loved, and treated with kindness.

We have dog tested Simba and it is possible he live with the right female dog after a meet and greet and proper introduction. We are thinking a quiet home where he can just live out his remaining few years would work best for Simba. Is that loving home yours?
