Sierra Mixed Breed Green Bay, WI

We have a sweet puppy to introduce you to! Sierra is the only surviving puppy from a litter of 7 in Texas. The people that had her originally left her and her brother in a suitcase in a hot car on 100+ degree day. Unfortunately, her brother passed away, but Sierra was able to pull through her terrible start in life and is looking to start fresh with a brand new family that will show her the love she deserves!

Sierra is about 5 months old and is believed to be a lab/shepherd mix and currently weighs 17 pounds with plenty of room to grow! This girl has been around people and animals of all ages and sizes and has been great! She has even had exposure to a cat and wanted to play, so it would be best if the cat in the adoptive home had experience being around playful puppies. When she first meets other dogs, she can be a bit timid, but once she realizes they are friendly, she is excited to be around them. She is even respectful when playing and takes social cues from other dogs! When it comes to people, she is great with them but has typical playful puppy behavior of jumping and nipping that she is working on improving. It would be ideal for her new home to be up for working on this also. She looks to her dog foster siblings for guidance and leadership to show her the ropes and would love a home with another dog to continue to help show her how to be the best girl!

Due to her tough beginnings, Sierra is still working on keeping her crate clean and being comfortable in there. Potty training is also a work in progress but this girl is smart and eager to learn. She is also working on basic commands like “sit” and “off”, and it is very helpful that she is food motivated! Her foster mom says Sierra is a great mix of active and mellow. While she enjoys an exhausting play session, she also loves a good puppy nap!

The ideal home for Sierra will have the patience to work through her puppy behavior and provide consistency and training so that she becomes the best version of herself. She is happy-go-lucky and full of energy so an active family would be a bonus!
