Meet Sierra

Sierra is an 8-year-old German Shepherd who is looking for a new person to call her own. She hasn't had a home life yet, so it's all new to her. Before she was surrendered to us, she was kept in a trailer and isolated. She has grown a lot since she has been at the shelter. We have helped her to socialize quite a lot, but she still is territorial with other dogs and should not live with another dog. She would do just fine as a "backyard dog," who can get her energy out through playing with her human and running around. She does walk very well on a leash, but is reactive to other dogs and would prefer if you walk around them.

Sierra will need a new family who would be willing to work with her. She loves people and with some love and training, you can help her develop more confidence and teach her new skills. She loves to take naps next to you and she always wants to be with you and follow you from room to room. She enjoys walks and hikes.
