Sienna's Story

Meet Sienna – Sweet, Silly, and Simply Adorable

Sienna is a 9-year-old Staffordshire Terrier with a heart of gold and a tail that never stops wagging. Weighing 51 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of affectionate, goofy, and resilient.

Her journey hasn’t been easy. For over 11 days, Sienna wandered the streets, returning to the same porch again and again, hoping someone would care. Though people shared her story online, no one stepped up—until one kind person finally opened their heart and brought her in.

At the time, Sienna was weak, suffering from severe diarrhea, and clearly in distress. A vet visit revealed a serious intestinal worm infection that could have been fatal without treatment. But with love, support, and proper care, she pulled through. She was given everything she needed to heal: food, a safe place to rest, and, most importantly, compassion.

Today, Sienna is thriving. Her energy is up, her coat is shiny, and she’s finally learning what it means to be safe and loved. She’s currently eating NutriSource Beef & Rice Recipe to support her ongoing health. Sienna is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. She’s house-trained and crate-trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and loves her daily strolls. She’s calm in the car and rides well, always content just being near her people.

She’s full of sweet quirks—like the way she’ll sit upright on her butt just to get your attention—and she absolutely adores belly rubs and snuggling close. While she hasn’t been tested with children, she doesn’t react to dogs or cats from a distance. That said, she can be nervous around other dogs, especially females, so slow and thoughtful introductions are important if there are other pets in the home.

Sienna is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but she is available for transport to approved adopters out of state. We work exclusively with USDA-certified transport companies to ensure her comfort and safety throughout the journey. Her adoption fee is $300, and the transport fee is $250.

After everything she’s been through, all Sienna really wants is love, safety, and someone to call her own. The hardest part of her story is behind her. The best part could start with you.

If you're interested in adopting Sienna, be sure to fill out the adoption application and take the first step toward giving this sweet soul the forever home she truly deserves.
