Meet Sienna

Sienna is ready to share her story!

I don't get it. I was yours. Heck, I would have been yours forever had you let me. I may still be young, but I still know the meaning of loyalty. Something you still need to learn. Sure, you didn't socialize me as you should have. You didn't give me the attention I deserved. Yet, I still loved you faithfully. You were my person after all.

You broke my trust in people. I loved you so much and you left me. You left me to starve. You left me in a house all alone. No food. No water. No nothing for FIVE DAYS. FIVE DAYS I sat there. I was hoping that you would come back, that you didn't truly do this to me....but you did. You left that old house behind, and with it you left me. Thankfully, someone finally heard me and got me out of there. I could not figure out if I was more hungry or thirsty. It was such a terrible time. But through all of it....still the worst was that you could do that to me. That you could just leave me trapped, knowing that I couldn't do anything...that is what hurts the most.

After my rescue, I joined this fluffy butt family. I am in a super sweet and loving foster home, but you hurt me more than just leaving me starve. I am pretty timid with new people now. I only ever had you, since you never bothered to socialize me....and now I have to learn to trust someone again. You may have wounded me...but you did not break me. Wherever you are, I want you to know that.

My name is Sienna and I am a 5-month-old, 32lb female Great Pyrenees/Mini Aussie mix.

Ever since I ended up homeless I have been dreaming of a forever family. One that will love me for the rest of my life! I know it is a big decision so I had my foster family fill out this questionnaire to make sure you are 100% sure about me!

-How does your foster act when meeting new people?
Timid. You can tell that she wants to come up to you for lovings, but ends up thinking better of it and runs off.

-Has your foster been to any public settings?
No. She has only been to the vet and was nervous.

-Is your foster leash trained?
We are working on it.

-Does your foster like going on walks? Probably not yet, she is still timid.

-Would your foster enjoy hiking?
Given her temperament right now, I would say no.

-Does your foster do on car rides?
Okay. She is pretty nervous about new things.

-Does your foster jump on people?
No.

-Describe your fosters energy level?
Playful.

-Is your foster a big chewer?
She has not chewed much here, but that may change once she feels more confident, she is a puppy.

-Does your foster like to play fetch?
Unknown.

-Does your foster like to play in the water?
Unknown.

-Does your foster play with Toys?
Yes.

-Does your foster have any food aggression?
No.

-Does your foster resource guard?
No.

-Do you think your foster would be okay with free-roam of the house even if you are away?
Possibly. As of right now, she does great with free-roam if we are gone.

-Is your foster potty trained?
No, we are working on it though. She is getting better.

-Is your foster kennel trained?
No.

-Where does your foster sleep at night?
She has free-roam of the house. She loves the elevated dog beds though.

-Where does your foster stay when no one is home?
Free-Roam of the house.

-Is your foster good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How does your foster act around other dogs?
Shy at first and playful once she realizes the other dogs are friendly.

-Does your foster need another dog in their new home?
Yes. Sienna bonds to dogs before she does people. She definitely will need a confident and outgoing dog in her new home to show her the ropes.

-Is your foster good with cats?
Yes.

-Is your foster good with kids?
Unknown, but I think she would love kids 6 and up.

-Would your foster dog do good in an apartment?
Yes.

-Is your foster a big barker?
No, we have not heard her bark yet.

-What would be your fosters ideal home?

A home with maybe one or two other dogs to show her the ropes. I think she would like kids 6 and up. She is a puppy so will adapt to anything. Her new family just needs to be okay with letting her come around on her own terms. It will take a bit until she feels comfortable and safe with you.

-Is there anything else you would like to mention about your foster dog?

Sienna is a very sweet loving affectionate girl once she realizes she is safe.
She will probably be timid at first, but once she trusts you she won't leave your side. She had a rocky start and is learning how to trust people and that she won't ever be abandoned again. She has your typical puppy personality. She may be timid right now, but whoever adopts this girl and gets to watch her open up and come out of her shell...it will be a truly amazing thing to get to see! ?

Phew! That took longer than I thought! Hopefully, all your questions about me were answered though! Before you apply to adopt me I have a few last things that I would like to discuss!

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Kiowa, OK.

-Would I need to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home!

-Can I adopt you even if I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yes, I am okay moving to a new state.

-How much is your adoption fee?
My adoption fee is $275.

That includes my DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. I will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
