Siena - Austin Italian Greyhound & Dachshund Mix Austin, TX

My name is Siena, and I am the sweetest iggy around! As you can see, I have a beautiful dark brown coat, and lovely brown eyes to match. I am around 7 years old, and I am an average sized female iggy. All but one of my teeth had to be removed when I came into rescue. This causes my tongue to hang out, but I am slowly learning how to get it under control and most people that meet me think it’s pretty cute. Having no teeth does not mean I require special food-I love to eat and have NO problems in that department!
Before I came into rescue, I was living outside full time. I have now learned about all the fun iggy things like cozy beds, warm blankies, plenty of food, toys, chewies, and the most important thing of all-LOVE. I really like being loved and adored, and I am so curious about all the neat things that go on in a house. I follow the humans around with my tail wagging. When they get on the couch, I have figured out that being in one of the laps is a really GREAT place to be, especially if they are offering chin scratches! That is my most favorite thing of all! I really like cuddling with other doggies or a friendly kitty cat when the humans are busy and would love to have an animal companion in my new home.
I am a very quiet, low key gal that is looking for a similar home with lots of love to give. I’m completely potty trained and learned the doggie door in a snap! I’m so smart I even learned some agility training. I sleep quietly in my crate
all night and when my people are away. I would love to have some gentle children in my new home to give me snuggles on the couch. I rarely bark, and I am still a little shy, but I am so anxious to experience everything wonderful with my forever family. Please come meet me to see if we have a love connection!
The more we’ve been around Siena, the more we are thinking that this beautiful girl may be the result of a romance between a lovely iggy and a dashing Dachshund.
