Shyly's Story
Shyly is a black lab in her soft, quiet main character era—the kind that doesn’t announce herself, but somehow ends up being the whole story anyway.

At about 9 months old, she’s still got that puppy sweetness, but it comes wrapped in this gentle, thoughtful energy that just makes you lean in. She’s a little shy at first—not in a dramatic way, just in a “let me make sure you’re good people” kind of way. And once she decides you are? She sticks close like she’s been yours the whole time. Tail spinning, eyes soft, fully committed.

Shyly came from a litter that was abandoned on a property with their mom—just left there to figure life out on their own. And somehow, this entire group turned out unbelievably sweet. No hardness to them, no edge… just really, really good dogs who are ready to love someone for real.

And Shyly? She might be the softest one of the bunch.

She is so easy to fall in love with. Not because she’s flashy or over-the-top—but because she’s genuine. What you see is exactly who she is: kind, gentle, a little unsure at first, but so ready to trust the right person.

She absolutely loves other dogs. Like, emotionally. Spiritually. She’s the type that feels safer, braver, and just more herself when she has a dog friend by her side. She’ll follow their lead, match their energy, and settle right into that quiet companionship. We would truly love to see her go into a home with another dog—it’s where she shines.

She’s still learning the basics—leash, crate, all the normal puppy life stuff—but she’s eager to please and very tuned in. She’s not here to make things difficult… she’s here to figure it out with you.

She might start off a little shy, but she doesn’t stay there.

Shyly is one of those dogs that slowly, quietly becomes everything to you… and one day you realize she didn’t just fit into your life—she made it better in ways you didn’t even expect.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Shyly is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
