Shorty's Story
Shorty is an approx 5 year old, neutered male, Terrier Mix (possibly mixed with Basset as he has the CUTEST short little stubby legs). Shorty is great with others dogs and kids. He loves to play with another rescue pup named Honey who is much bigger than Shorty and also up for Adoption! Shorty was rescued as a stray from a very busy road in Texas. Thankfully we were at the right place at the right time and scooped him up to get him to safety. Unfortunately he did test positive for heartworms (not contagious to people or humans), but is currently undergoing treatment and is available for foster or foster to adopt. Shorty is in Texas, but can be transferred North to Iowa! We make trips almost monthly and have a trip planned for the first week of October.
