Meet Shortcake! This sweet 2-year-old Dachshund/Pit mix is ready for her forever home. When she first arrived, Shortcake had a broken leg, but after some TLC, she’s healing beautifully. She may be a little shy and hesitant when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she’s incredibly loving and loyal. Shortcake adores belly rubs and loves playing with her toys when she’s not cuddling up. She’s well-behaved and would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can enjoy quality time with her future best friend. At this time, we think Shortcake would prefer to be the only pet in the household. After everything she’s been through, she absolutely deserves all the love and attention. While she can pull a bit on the leash, she’s still very manageable overall. Shortcake is looking for a family to call her own. Could that be you?
