Shine Shine Shine!! This gal has the most soulful set of eyes! She looks at you as if all the worlds problems are hers to solve. They could also be just so very heavy as she has had a rough life. Shine is approximately seven years old. She was brought to our attention from our friends at HARTT. She showed up and started to sleep in the carport of a home that belonged to a caring couple in Tonopah, AZ . She stayed for weeks, accepting food and water but not allowing anyone to come close to her. Initially she had open wounds, a heavy limp and it was obvious she has had multiple litters. Volunteers from HARTT were able to humanely trap Shine and after some bouncing around, Shine is now in our care. We have really enjoyed falling in love with this beautiful soul. She is as grateful and as sweet as can be. Shine has been with us for close to two year s. Initially, much of that time, Shine had been recovering from surgeries. She had two major surgeries to remove mammary gland tumors that were caused by multiple litters. Shine will thrive in a home that has no other animals or a very submissive male. She is so loving, very affectionate and will make the best companion if your life involves a lot of movie watching and couch surfing. Limited exercise (just a short walk), and a healthy weight is important for this sweet gal as X-rays show an extreme arthritic elbow that can cause her some discomfort if she over does it . Shine will live happily ever after in a home that has a low key lifestyle and a consistent routine. Mature kids will do fine with Shine. We have never tested Shine with cats. We love Shine and are excited to find her the most loving home.
