I am Sherman, and although I have some congenital kidney issues, Mary’s team, my foster, and Dr. J have me on the right track. With some special food and cheap daily medicine it is hopeful that I will live a long normal life.
More about me:
I am about 9 months old and 36 lbs. I will not grow too much more… I like being little.
I love other dogs!
I am almost completely potty trained despite my health issues.
I give great snuggles and like to sleep with my people.
I do not like the car a whole lot, but I tolerate it and I think if I went in it more often I wouldn’t mind it so much.
New people make me very nervous, but if you give me some treats and a few minutes to adjust I do just fine.
I am good with older, dog savvy, kids
I don’t bark much. Only when there is a reason to.
I am a puppy and can be a little mouthy, but if you give me a toy I redirect really well.
I am smart and will do almost anything for a treat.
My foster mom works at home 3 days a week, but on the days she is away at the office, I do just fine in my crate.
If you have any questions about me, ask my foster mom. She is great at telling people what I like and don't like.
*Our vet has discovered congenital kidney disease in this young pup. He will require medication for life and may have a shorter life span than other dogs like him, BUT, he’s very worthy of a home and we are hoping someone sees past his challenges and accepts the time that he has and the love he’s got to give.*
