Sheree just absolutely broke our hearts when we saw her picture and that she needed rescue. Although absolutely beautiful and adorable, Sheree’s face is just so sad. We don’t know what her story is or where she came from but what we do know, is that we can offer her happiness from here on out. Sheree is incredibly sweet but also very fearful so she needs a home who has time to work with her and allow her to open up. She has not shown any aggression whatsoever despite being afraid, and is more of an avoider. She loves playing outside and is really a different dog when she has a yard to play in, so we require that for any adopter who is interested in her. Sheree loves being rubbed on her belly and she is very happy to get attention and kisses, she’s just not generally comfortable with interaction and is very timid. Sheree loves the company of other dogs and we feel she would do best in a home where she can use a canine friend to help show her the ropes. She is currently in foster care with 4 other dogs both large and small and is excellent with all of them. You can tell sheree wants so much love, yet she is so afraid. She is currently in a home with two very young children and she does well with them, however because she is so afraid, it would probably be better she is in a home with older or quieter children. Sheree has demodex mange which is not contagious and she has already gotten the treatment for it; now we just need to wait for her coat to grow in! She appears to maybe be mixed with a terrier or poodle based on her hair but we are really not sure! We just know she is very sweet, low energy and calm and in need of a loving forever home !
Sheree is arriving into NY on 2/10 and will be ready for adoption. She is spayed microchipped and UTD on vaccines. Sheree’s adoption fee is $350. Applications can be found at www.snarrnortheast.org
