Shep was a stray and found himself in a tiny, rural shelter in South GA. Stray hold was up and his number was called. But we got him out in time. Shep is not even two years old and what a fun guy he is! He always has a smile on his face and knows basic commands. He is the life of the paaaaawty!
Shep is:
Completely housebroken
Crate Trained
Very vocal
High energy
Good on a leash
Good with other dogs
Good with kids
Would be fine being leash walked instead of having a fenced yard
The only major requirement for adopting Shep is NO small animals. His prey drive is intense and we know for a fact he is not cat friendly. Due to his vocal nature an apartment likely wouldn't be a great fit either.
Shep is ready for a family that will take him on adventures but also chill on sofa with him. He loves to be with you and touching you.
Shep was heartworm positive when we rescued him but has received treatment. He is neutered and current on his vaccines. Shep is currently being fostered in GA but can be transported for adoption. His adoption area is CT to GA.
~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you're interested in. If you're still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
