Shelby's Story

Shelby is a female Shepherd type mix. She is approximately 1 year old, and currently weighs about 40 lbs. She was brought to our shelter on 9/4/25 after being found in Castro Valley. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous person, so she's now looking for a new home! She has been vaccinated, and will be spayed and micro-chipped before going to her new home. <br/><br/>Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of her spay surgery will be sponsored! Shelby qualifies for Fluffy Dog Friday! Adopt her on a Friday and we'll waive her adoption fee!

East County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

All adoptions take place in person at the East County Animal Shelter. Our address is 4595 Gleason Drive, Dublin, CA 94568. Our phone number is 925-803-7040. We are open seven days a week (excluding county holidays) from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. Please arrive early enough to give yourself time to get acquainted with your prospective new pet before we can begin the adoption paperwork. Please contact the shelter for information about adoption fees.
