Shay Terrier & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Sparta, NJ

Shay was rescued along with several other dogs from a back yard puppymill/neglect home. Among other things they were so matted and flea infested they had to be shaved down and some had fractured teeth from chewing on the crates. They are all sweet but shy dogs and will respond well when they get some love and attention. Being shy, they probably would do best in a quieter home and not be with young, boisterous children until they come out of their shells. Poor little Shay also had had some chemical burns on her skin as a result of cheap flea protection that didn't even work. Shay is about 1 year old and 11 pounds. Please help Shay find the loving home she deserves.

Update: Since Shay has been with us we have noticed she is not use to being outside much. She does not know how to walk on a leash and likes to be carried. Shay will pee outside occasionally but the second we bring her inside and put a pad down, she pees and poops on it almost immediately which leads us to think she may be wee wee pad trained!

Shay's adoption fee is $350. This covers all age-appropriate shots and vetting.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
