You must be 25 yrs of age or older to adopt through us. We are in the Rochester NY area and adopt dogs out to area residents.

REQUIREMENTS: Must live within 1/2 hr radius of Rochester NY and have a physically fenced in yard - invisible is not accepted. No toddlers in home pls as he will knock them down.

Scrappy is a blood hound mix pup born July 7th, with 2 eye colors. Shaggy is hound owners dream! Although he is still growing into his body he already has a big personality. He hasn’t met a person, dog or toy he doesn’t like. Although he hasn’t met a cat, I’m sure they’d get along. Shaggy would do best in an active household, especially where he can play with dog or human brothers and sisters. We know that his mom was a purebred blood hound, but aren’t sure what breed dad was but suspect he was also some type of hound. He is still a puppy and learning so someone committed to helping him continue to learn is needed. Please do not apply unless you have researched what a blood hound is like and are willing to work with him on training.
He won't be neutered till after 12 wks of age but can go to his furever home under a special contract. You would get him to our clinic once we are given a neuter date and then pick up from rescue and complete adoption at that time. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
