Hi, I'm Shadow! I'm the most loving pup with a lot of love to give. I am a great dog who walks well on the leash! I'm curious but not reactive when crossing paths with other dogs or people. Honestly, I would like to know more about these strange creatures called squirrels (my foster sister Rosie says BARK to them - a LOT) but even when I see a squirrel, I remember my manners. I'm cautious about cars and trucks going by, but I'm learning to take traffic noise in stride while I'm out and about. I love, love, love strolling along and stopping to sniff all the sniffables along my route, so I hope my forever family understands that I am an inquisitive guy.

I am quiet and calm. I'm not a barker, and I don't bolt at the door or jump up on family members or visitors. I'm a little bashful at times but I do like to meet people if I have a little time to warm up to them. I haven't had kids over to visit but I have met some at bus stops and I am gentle and respectful.

I would love to have another calm and confident

dog that is either my size or smaller as a playmate in my forever home. I love to play with my pack but I am also considerate of when Rosie wants a break. I have shown no signs of resource guarding, not even with my beloved dinner dish - I will let other dogs put their snout right in my bowl when I am licking it clean! I am gracious when it's someone else's turn to get snackies - but boy do I love snackies! And when my foster mom tosses the snackies into the grass for us to find, I sniff around happily with my foster brother and sister. I also would be happy in a home with a cat: I'm very polite!

I enjoy playing with and chewing on toys and spending time outside, so I would love a home with a yard but I could make it by without one. Not to brag, but my snuggling skills - couch, loveseat, floor, or bed - are pretty stellar. Have I mentioned I love butt scritches and cookies?

I can't wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give!
