Shadow Shepherd & Husky Mix Springdale, PA

Shadow is a sweet but timid (at first) 2 year old German Shepard/Husky mix that needs a patient household to help her continue to learn how to be a dog! After only a day or two of shyness, Shadow warmed right up to her foster family and foster brother (dog) and loves to play, wrestle and snuggle. She is still learning to walk on a leash, but is making great progress with her new non-pull harness. She occasionally belly-crawls and spins in a few nervous circles on walks, but overall loves to exercise and walk next to her foster brother. Once she comes out of her shell she has high-energy play needs, so she would do best in a home with a confident and medium to high-energy dog. She loves to play in the yard, but is a bit of an escape artist, so a yard with high and secure fencing would be recommended. Shadow is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night with no issues. She loves her "pack" of a household and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day. She is a bit skeptical of new people, but with slow introductions she has done well. Overall she is such a loving dog and will thrive even more once she finds her forever pack!
