Seven's Story

Seven’s owner reached out to us with a video and his heartbreaking story of needing to find Seven a new home due to economic hardships.

While many details are private about his owner's circumstances, we can share that Seven was rescued off the streets of Houston as a starving stray in 2020. His rescuer did not have much money of his own, but refused to ignore Seven’s plea for help when he walked over to him and begged for scraps. He intended to find a rescue group to take him in, but sadly as many know, every place he reached out to did not have any space for him.
The gentleman has kept Seven with him for 2 years now.

Unfortunately, with economic hardships he was forced to move into a smaller place and cannot always afford his own bills. He told us he would go without eating sometimes to ensure Seven always had his meal. He tried to provide plenty of playtime and did everything he could to keep Seven happy, but he feels he needs a stable home. We discussed many different options of how we could keep them together, but ultimately he has decided to completely surrender him over to find his forever home. He does not want Seven to end up in a shelter.

Seven was taken into our program and is doing well. He’s a big boy at 80lbs, but he is very friendly and relaxed. We describes him as a friendly and happy soul, he has been around kids and does well! Seven is house trained and would do best as the only pet in a home ( he loves all the attention for himself). He does great in car rides too!

Seven is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
