Scully, formerly known as Clyde, was an emergency situation. He was brought into Fulton County by a police officer severely emaciated at only 24 pounds with a scary-low body temperature of 93 degrees. Normal temperature for a dog is about 101 to 102 degrees. An investigation was taking place, but Scully needed out immediately if he was going to survive so we quietly took Scully into the FTTF family on November 15th, 2018.
Scully was literally just some skin draped over a skeleton. Even though he was so emaciated when we got him, he was up and walking that evening. He is a strong boy with the will to live. He quickly made lots of progress and is now a very happy dog. Now that he is starting to feel better, Scully is full of life and just wants love and attention. He loves to snuggle and he will lean his whole body against you when you are sitting with him. He can go up and down the stairs on his own now and he loves to run in the back yard and chase the tennis ball. We cant exactly call it fetch because he does not bring it back. Despite his obvious neglect at the hands of a human, he loves every person he meets and is even getting along with his kitty siblings. Although he has tons of love adults, children are his favorite! Scully regularly spends time with a 3 year old who loves to hand Scully his toys one by one while he gently takes them from her. Then she is off to find the next toy to hand him. Scully is also good with other dogs and he is working on his leash manners with his foster-mom. He is crate-trained and housebroken. Scully is ready for a forever family of his very own where he will be loved and never fall into terrible neglect again.
