Meet Scruffy
We call Scruffy “Kitty Kitty” because he seems more like a cat than a dog. He is a 5 month old Terrier mix who weighs about 12 lbs. We’ve never heard him bark, but he does whine sometimes. He’s sensitive and loving and likes everyone he meets. We’ve provided toys for him, but he only likes a stuffed rooster and a chew toy. Like any puppy we have to watch him carefully as he’ll chew things and try to eat things he shouldn’t.
Scruffy is a great traveling companion, sitting snugly in his dog car seat. On walks we’re working on him staying on our left side, but he often prefers to walk slightly behind us. On occasion he’ll chew the leash a bit but is improving. He does startle when vehicles pass on the street but not enough to cause him to run off.
Scruffy is a delightful puppy. Once he figures out the potty training thing he’ll be about perfect. When we take him outside he usually goes potty, but has yet to show signs of needing to go out. When we keep him in the pen we have in the kitchen he never makes a mess. One look from him with his big brown eyes and enormous fluffy ears, and we pop him out of the pen to play.
It seems like he would be a wonderful addition to any family - kids, dogs - he loves everything!
The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
