Meet Scout
Greetings! My name is Scout and I am happy to meet you! Really, I am happy to meet any creature… dogs, cats, birds, fish, adults, kids and even people in costume. I just seem to like everyone. Foster Mom says I am one of the happiest and friendliest German Shepherds she has ever met.
I am housetrained and crate trained and have never had an accident. I walk nicely on a leash and am taking an obedience class. Foster Mom says I am very smart and know several commands including sit, down, wait, crate, climb, come, paws on, off, watch me, no, alrighty, truck, potty, paw, other, kiss, leave it and I am working on more. She says it is very important that I am educated and active and that my forever family will continue to work with me in both those areas. I have learned how to go down the stairs and have discovered the joy of things called toys.
I’m a 3 yo male German shepherd mix. I am very social. I love to go on car rides and be out and about, I’m looking for an active family who enjoys an active life - I’m ready to go on adventures with you! I enjoy the company of other dogs my size so I’d prefer to have a family with another medium to large dog that can keep me company when my humans are away. My on-leash manners are pretty good; I can sit, down, and wait. I have had remote collar training and I’ve been an excellent student. My ideal family would continue my training so I can continue to learn.
According to the Boy Scouts of America, Scout Law states a Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. I am all that and more - Scout’s Honor!
