What is New2U Rescues’s adoption process?
We are based out of Rochester, NY and adopt dogs out to homes the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs out of area and require a home visit prior to adoption as well as vet references. All our dogs have been treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed. Younger, high energy, medium and large breed dogs/pups do require a fenced in yard so they can safely run and play. An application must be submitted to meet any of our dogs. We do not operate on first application in gets dog, it is best match for the dog. We do not have a shelter; all dogs live in foster homes so that we are best able to assess what type of home would be best for our foster dogs. Our goal is to ensure a good match between adopter and foster dog to ensure the dog has a home for life and won’t have to be moved again. We are based out of Rochester, NY and do adoptions to homes in this area. We require that existing animals in a potential home are current on veterinary care; spayed or neutered if old enough; we confirm this with your vet prior to any adoption.
