READ BELOW BEFORE REACHING OUT WITH QUESTIONS/INTEREST!
Our shelter is NOT open to the public - please read below for how to adopt a dog from Felines & Canines.
Because we are not open for traditional dog meet and greets, in most cases, our pups are going home as “Trial Adoptions.” What this means is the full adoption process will be done virtually (application, conversations, contract, payment) - then you will come and pick up your dog. You will then have seven days to get to know your dog in the comfort of your home. If it is a great fit, there is nothing else you need to do. If it’s not the right fit, you simply need to return the pup to us within that seven-day window and your adoption fee will be refunded.
If you have already submitted an electronic application in 2020, you can email Abby@FelinesCanines.org with the name your application is under and the dog(s) you are interested in. If you have NOT completed an electronic application, please do so by clicking on the link below:
ADOPTION APPLICATION - https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAC/Dog
**PLEASE do NOT submit an application if you are not prepared to adopt immediately.
Adult adoption fees for dogs over six months are $350 unless otherwise noted (include baseline vaccines, heartworm test, current on preventative, first round of deworming and flea prevention, microchip, spay/neuter surgery.) If the surgery has not already been completed, we will coordinate with you within 7 days of adoption to get it scheduled at your earliest convenience.
Puppy adoption fees for dogs six months and under are $400 unless otherwise noted (include baseline vaccines plus booster shots, current on heartworm preventative, first round of deworming - plus continued deworming medication as needed, microchip, spay/neuter surgery as soon as it’s age appropriate.
We can not make any guesses/guarantees about breed, age, final growth size, background, health, temperament, etc. We do everything in our power to share every bit of information that we have on an animal, however, they almost always come into our shelter program with little-to-no information, so our details are very limited. In the event they come with papers or a background of any kind, we will always share that info in their profile. We will never knowingly take an animal into our program who shows signs of aggression or has a known bite record.
