Scooter is a senior gentleman with perfect manner and a real sweet guy. He was surrendered to us because of financial distress of his owners. He is housetrained and uses the doggie door. He is healthy and lively although his eyes have lost some vision due to lack of care in the past and gets daily eye drops. He recently had a dental, he is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on prevention and weighs about 16 pounds. He gets along great with other dogs in the foster home. Scooter is so easygoing and is very appreciative of getting attention. He is a sweetheart and a good companion. His first foster had a health crisis and he had to be moved to another foster home which was sad for us to have to move him but true to Scooter's happy nature we discovered he is happy wherever he is. He's truly one in a million. We all love this happy guy and it woujd be extra special to see him get a forever home.

** Please note: Due to their size, our dogs are not suitable for homes with children under 5.

We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws depends on donations to keep the dogs in our program healthy. Many health issues are taken care of before a dog leaves a rescue: spaying, neutering, immunizations, dental care, and in some cases major surgery.
