Meet Scooby
** COURTESY POST, if interested in Scooby contact Michelle at chelle9278@yahoo.com **
Scooby is a bigger boy, around 70lbs. He likes to swim, play fetch, and loves a good chew toy. My daughter babysat in his previous home, and Scooby lived with cats, other dogs, and small children. In our home, he doesn't like our cats and 2 of our dogs don't care for him. We are a highly special needs/nonverbal/autism family, with that can come lots of chaos. Even though Scooby is used to toddlers and babies, he gets anxious when my special needs son gets upset. I have zero clue why. He has been with us for a short time, and even though he was fine with cats and small children in his previous home, I am going to recommend that Scooby be in a no cat or small children home. He needs a family that can, and will, keep on top of his training and manners. And a family that will take him on occasional outdoor adventures. He is fine with both women and men. His "dad" was his main caretaker in his old home. I (female) am in this home, but I can tell he enjoys my husband's attention and seems to enjoy pleasing him. So a strong male figure would probably be good for him too. He is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. Overall, he is a good boy. You can tell he is eager to please. We just can not be that family for him.
