Meet Scooby

Scooby is a friendly, 7 year old beagle who was surrendered by a local family for severe separation anxiety. Scooby has had a rough time. He was adopted from a shelter in Florida about a year ago. He was surrendered to the shelter with another dog he was bonded to because the family was moving. Unfortunately, the shelter separated the two and adopted Scooby out as an only dog. Over the course of the year, Scooby became increasingly stressed and vocal being left alone and his family asked for help rehoming him.

Scooby is a hefty boy, weighing in at about 45 lbs. The best home for him is a home with at least two humans and another dog with the same energy level as Scooby is active and likes to play. When he is bored he will get into things, but has been going to daycare while at his foster home and has had no issues getting into things at home. He walks well on a leash with a harness. He is house trained, sleeps in bed with his fosters and is practicing being left alone for short periods of time. He is very food motivated and like all beagles, will steal food if given the opportunity. Scooby is being fostered in Massachusetts and is available for visits with approved adopters.
