You must be 25 yrs of age or older to adopt through us. We are in the Rochester NY area and adopt dogs out to area residents.

REQUIREMENTS: Must live within 1/2 hr radius of Rochester NY and have a physically fenced in yard - invisible is not accepted. No toddlers in home pls as he will knock them down.

Scooby is an adorable 11-week old bloodhound mix, born on July 16th. His sweet, yet spunky, personality is the perfect match to his good looks. While he seems to gain more confidence every day and certainly loves his playtime, Scooby is a relatively laid-back guy. He gets along well with other dogs and kids and we don't see a reason why he wouldn’t like cats. While he is still learning, Scooby is doing well with potty training and sleeps through the night! He loves to splash around in the kiddie pool and play with toys! Just don’t be surprised if your dish towels go missing ;)
We know that his mom was a purebred bloodhound but aren’t sure what breed dad was but suspect he was also some type of hound. He is still a puppy and learning so someone committed to helping him continue to learn is needed. Please do not apply unless you have researched what a bloodhound is like and are willing to work with him on training.
He won't be neutered till after 12 weeks of age but can go to his furever home under a special contract. You would get him to our clinic once we are given a neuter date and then pick up from rescue and complete adoption at that time. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
