Good in a home with
Scooby, AKA Skippy, a 12 year old Chihuahua, was found on the streets in January, cold, shivering and badly underweight. His 3 weeks in foster care have done wonders for his overall health and he is now at a healthy weight of 6 pounds. Though left with only one front tooth, he is a good eater, with both soft canned food and softened kibble. Fully vetted with the usual tests for a senior dog, he has been given a clean bill of health. It is hoped that with his recent neutering, his habit of “marking” will diminish. He is very amenable to wearing a belly band when he is inside and not in his crate. In his crate, he is fully housetrained and he sleeps through the night there with no fuss. He loves his naps and just curling up on the couch. He is friendly and outgoing, and loves to poke around outside in his fenced back yard. He has been living with a very playful one year old dog who pesters him to play; Scooby would prefer an older more sedate companion but he does get along with other dogs. He's being fostered in Sudbury and his adoption fee will be $150.
