Schmidt is a 9 year old , 61 lb Terrier/Retreiver Mix <br/><br/>Schmidt is currently located in South Texas<br/><br/>Hi there, my name is Schmidt! I am well behaved, I don't chew up stuff in the home, I'm house broken and I walk well on a leash. I'm just an all-around chill doggy. I don't like being crated though, I have to just put that out there. I enjoy being outside, sunbathing or maybe chasing a ball, but really I'm a people dog. I love to be around my people, getting some cuddles or just napping. Although I love my people, I can be nervous with new folks, so I need some proper introductions and a little bit to warm up to new people, then I'm good! I live with several foster dogs, puppies too, and we all get along and play and just hang out together. Let me tell you, life in a home is great when you've experienced life on the streets! My foster family has taught me several commands like sit, stay, and down, and they said I am a fast learner. I have met a few cats and I was respectful of them, but I've never lived with them, so we would need some slow and proper introductions. I am ready to embark on the next chapter in my life, and I'd like a home of my very own, so if you're ready for a mellow, fun loving boy, I hope you give me a chance. I may not be a puppy, but I've got plenty of years left to show you all the love I have inside me!<br/><br/>Our organization only adopts within the United States.<br/><br/>Faith and Hope is a multi-state rescue with locations in Texas, Washington, and Oregon. All dogs are rescued from the state of Texas to and transported to our Washington and Oregon locations with placement in their adoptive families.
