Meet Scarlett

Hi there, my name is Miss Scarlett, aka, little red panda bear :) I am a sweet girl and cute as a button! I am finally all done with my heartworm treatment and feeling so much better! I am so ready to be in my new home where I can snuggle and be loved. I am a spunky girl, full of life and energy. I am happy to spend time in a crate when I am alone and would need one in my new home so I can have time to chill. I also like to cuddle, so spending time in bed and on your couch would be nice, too.

They say I am a little girl at 60 lbs. but don't let my size fool you, I can jump high fences and love to chase the critters. I am also always on alert to where they may be and I love to go searching for them, they are not safe when I am around. I am an expert on little furries so no small pets (cats, squirrels, bunnies, groundhogs) for me. I can also be picky about my dog friends and would prefer to do my own thing. They say I am super smart and would excel at agility. I love balls and toys; they are my favorite things! If I sound just perfect for you, because I just am the sweetest, please reach out to my caretakers, they are so rooting for me to find my happily-ever-after and want what's best for me too!

If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please complete an application:  https://form.jotform.com/60794585351161

Learn about the adoption/foster process: https://www.chaamp.org/adoption-process

Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. We are happy to work with you. For example, if you don't have a fence, we can help find alternatives and/or a dog that will do well without a fence.

A home visit is required prior to adoption/fostering. You can visit the malamute(s) once you've completed the process. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how rewards-based training brings out the best in malamutes.

CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC.

ADOPTION FEES
~Senior dogs (8+ years old): $100.00
~Adult dogs (2 years up to 8): $300.00
~Puppies (6 months - 2 years): $350.00
~Puppies under 6 months: $375

All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Puppy fees are higher due to more vet visits and vaccines. The adoption fee helps us cover these costs.

CHAAMP is comprised of volunteers covering a 7-state region. We are not a shelter.

CHAAMP is a Rescue Affiliate Member of the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL). For a list of AMAL rescues in the USA and Canada: https://www.malamuterescue.org/

CHAAMP is also a proud rescue member of the Pet Professional Guild. We say no thank you to Shock, Prong, Choke, Pain, Force & Fear. We understand safety is important to prevent being pulled by malamutes who were born to pull. We are happy to share options and other equipment to help you both be safe.
