Emerson is a HIGH energy extremely friendly 1 year old male black Labrador Retriever. If you’re looking for all gas and minimal brakes, this is your guy. He loves other dogs and is friendly with all people. We recommend a home with no young children due to his size and exuberance. He likes playing fetch but can become easily distracted. It’s improving with time. Surprisingly he isn’t a huge fan of the water, still learning to cool off in the pool/pond.

He would love a home with another medium to large breed dog and a fenced yard to run. Looking for a Netflix and couch potato buddy, this guy is not it.

Emerson is crate trained and working on his basic obedience. He walks well on a leash and knows sit, down and working on stay.

Emerson is up to date on shots and preventatives and is micro chipped. Emerson’s adoption fee is $185 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Charlotte Blake.
