Scamp Wire Fox Terrier Chestertown, MD

Scamp came to us when his person could no longer care for him. He's been shaved due to matting, but his coat is already coming in nicely. Scamp is pretty much a blank slate who needs to unlearn some behaviors due to lack of training (things like lack of impulse control, jumping up, etc), but is quickly catching on to new 'good' behaviors. For this reason, Scamp will need an experienced home.

Scamp could easily be an only dog if his human is active and available to spend time with him, otherwise, he may be better in an active multi-dog home that enjoys training.

Scamp is nicely crate trained, and is learning to walk on leash without pulling. He gets along well with other dogs, and has met cats without incident.

Dogs that have not lived previously with children will not be offered to homes where young children reside. We do not 'test' dogs with children or cats, since testing may not show an accurate picture, and may give false comfort to their new home. If a dog has lived with children or cats, that will be stated above.
