Meet Toots
Sarah T., Toots as she is affectionately called, was picked up as a stray. While an owner phoned the shelter to inquire about her, no one ever showed up to claim this lovely lady. This three year old black and white cutie pie warms up quickly, especially to women, but is less certain about men and has definitely given birth to a litter of puppies recently. Still, once she gets her confidence up, she’s a good girl with men as well.
A few things are obvious about Sarah - - - we believe she’s some type of bulldog mix, she hasn’t been treated kindly so it takes her a little time to warm up and she’s good with other dogs. Ms. Sarah has, without a doubt, been crated a considerable amount of time as evidenced by the crate burns on her elbows, feet & legs and she regards the crate as a safe haven. While extracting Toots from her safe haven takes a little patience, she awakens once outside, preferring to ‘bunny hop’ as she experiences running across her play lot. This little black and white LOVES to run and play, loves walks where she can relax and is so very curious about everything outdoors. Please note that she is is dog selective and doesn't get along with all dogs.
The successful applicant for Toots will have plenty of patience, have space for this girl to get lots of exercise and hopefully have a playmate for Ms. Toots to learn from and help settle in.
